Thuruth is an Island close to Aluva Town in Chengamanadu village of Ernakulam district. Aluva (formerly Alwaye), is the second biggest town of Greater Cochin city in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, India:
which is also considered as the industrial and commercial city of Kochi. Surrounded by the river Periyar, Thuruth is a real cross section of Kerala's urban life. Aluva is the industrial epicentre of the state. A
major transportation hub, with easy access to all major forms of transportation, Aluva acts as a corridor which links the highland districts to the rest of the state. Cochin International Airport Limited - CIAL at
Nedumbassery, is 8 kms away from Thuruth. Aluva is more famous for its accessibility through Rail (Aluva Railway Station) which is just 2 kms and Kochi Metro is 6 kms.
